Just a quick post to share some pictures of a sea turtle that I saw swimming in Cowan Creek! I didn’t know they were in the area still, but the locals tell me they are spotted there regularly (possibly due to seasonal breeding).

I was walking the Berowra track and spotted something in the water. My first thought was a sting ray, but as it breached the surface I could see it’s shell and flippers quite clearly. It dived down and popped back up a few times before disappearing altogether. It was awesome to watch and certainly not the wildlife encounter I expected!
