I just wanted to share these pictures and videos of this gorgeous echidna we saw at Barnett’s lookout, Berowra.
My daughter does an art class in a cute little caravan at the edge of the bush and when I pick her up we have a little routine of heading to the nearby lookout.
This time we noticed movement off the trail and saw a gorgeous echidna snuffling around a tree stump. It stayed still for a bit then decided we were not a threat so waddled off to check out a tree trunk further down the track. It lifted its head up and rested its nose on a rock- so cute! We watched for about five minutes then left it to its business. Check out the videos below!

No it just just carried on about it’s business. So cute! I’ve seen two this year which is either unusual or lucky. I wonder if they are particularly active right now
